well, if the labour cost is too high, those jobs will be automated by machine.
Jeff Bezos is a evil man. He also owns the Washington Post FYI.
Proud 21 year Teamster here. Yes, all unions have their problems BUT the only way to have any dignity on the job and having reasonable workplace rules is through a negotiated contract! Think about it this way. These companies sign contracts with customers, vendors etc to lay out the law of the land so, why is it wrong for these companies to have contracts with their employees spelling out workplace rules and compensation? The FACT of the matter is, unions built what once was a thriving middle class. In nearly every single industry you can name and, even if your particular company isn’t unionized, the fact that unions were once so prevalent and strong, they actually forced non union companies to stay somewhat competitive with unionized companies as far as wages and benefits we’re concerned if for no other reason than to attempt to keep employees from organizing and joining a union! It’s NO COINCIDENCE that real wages and the worsening wage inequality have basically mirrored the overall decline in private sector unions since 1980.
Amazon: We're sorry you don't understand Capitalism. Amzn Employees: ... dafuq
Hello everyone I can confirm this I work inside a Amazon warehouse And I have found Water bottles filled with pee
If the union stuff doesn’t pay off it’s because they are manipulated and paid off in someway like they’re like OK we’re going to give you a raise and all these things and either they’re going to renege on it or they’re going to give it to them but it’s definitely physically more responsible to give whatever they’re promising them then to possibly companywide come out with the union and I wonder if it’s for those individuals that the bribing or will it go to everyone who even voted to unionize because that would be weird and what about the newbies
Besides that being terrible in general but thAt means Women All right a disadvantage Soley because of the bathroom situation because on top of not being able to P in an average size bottle we definitely can’t poop without wiping because it will cause she’s infections and also you have to think about feminine hygiene when it comes to that time of the month
Let’s see if THEY can have an ethical vote?
Where is this happening? I work at the Amazon in Tennessee and they don't make us piss in bottles and shit in bags.
Amazon labour?...only a short time to fully robotic. Then what? What happens to the humans then?
Cenk doesn’t support his own employees that want to unionize...hypocrites.
So it's fair to assume that those same drivers probably don't wash their hands afterwards either... meaning that in addition to delivering goods, they are also transmitting communicable diseases, potentially...great job Bozo the clown!
Why is Amazon Unionized in Europe but not the US?
I used to deliver for the USPS and yes it was one of the worst jobs you could ever do
Currently a FC worker and I break my back to over produce when I’m working just to not face the scrutiny of being “held accountable” just so I can get something that resembles a break after my 5 minute power walk to the break area and the 5 minute power walk (sometimes a light jog; it’s a MASSIVE building) back to my work area.
OMG just buy vans with a toilet. Its 2021!
This is a non issue. In a few years ALL of the Amazon employees will be replaced by robots. Pickers, Packers, drivers... ALL of them.
Easy fix: Pay per hour , and pay overpay workhours when route is not finished. Give 20 minute payed break every 2h of driving , and additionally one full hour payed payed break every day. Use quota only for performance reports and contract extension or promotions not pay. Look at EU for these kind of rules set in law. No need to reinvent things. PS: Why do you have to vote for unionising? Isn't it law that you can unionise no matter what? If only 20% want to form a union , just have a 20% onion and still have legal right to sit on board meetings and strike and such .. or what is the law in USA? (this is practice in EU)
Workers have no rights in USA ,
We had rights, then companies realized if they could take them away they could save a few bucks
America is like Victorian London with the way employees are treated.
Amazons new slogan: "we pay our employees $15 an hour and they have to piss in bottles and defecate in bags. Amazon, because we care... about money"
Seems like a good time to recommend Last Week Tonight's special on Amazon they did a while back, if anyone hasn't seen it/wasn't aware they did an episode on it and are interested
Amazon...Pee-R.....right on!
If they get a union my package will always be late
So your convenience is more important than your fellow Americans having humane working conditions. I hope your packages are always late or broken
No, it won't effect how fast you get the package; they'll just get more workers to do the same amount of work in the same amount of time. I think Jeff Bezos can afford it.
Have they counted the union vote yet? Do i need to go down there and personally go through them one at a time and still get the result faster than them?
Men don’t mind urinating in bottles if they look like stalls but women are barred out and end up getting higher pay in jobs like nursing
I get the feeling that I’d legit die from laughing too hard if I hung around Franifio for too long a time in a single sitting. Still down for it.
Poor Amazon. Only worth 1.3 trillion. Can't afford liveable wage
Then they'd only be worth 1.299 trillion, the inhumanity
I hope you 2 ladies go on a date w Ken Ken after vaccines
Brilliant Video
C'mon to FedEx folks they're all hiring and they'll treat you like humans and the pay is decent
Every time I make an appointment I get “Amazon?” YES-“Amazon” And if you get me an appointment before 3pm, I’ll give you free shipping. (Almazan, it’s A L M A Z A N) (and I would treat workers better)
MLB moves All-Star Game from Atlanta to one of the whitest cities in America. Atlanta is a black-majority city, with 51% of its population black. Denver is one of America’s whitest major cities; just over 9% of Denver is black.
@qiexia Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz........
@qiexia You’re a born liar!!!
@Dan Kootes Mark very specifically did, and then i answered more broadly anyway, with that one sentence that completely shut him down.
@qiexia No one cares about your miniscule amount of money. No one. Period!!!!
@Dan Kootes There was absolutely no response to "There are tons of studies that not even building a stadium gives significant economic benefit to a region, let alone one single game in a stadium." That point finished this whole discussion. You might have something to say to that, but Mark got completely owned and could only yammer nothings.
No one should be treated like trash😠
There are millions of gas stations within two miles of each other across rural areas in America where you can take care your business in restrooms. Why Amazon drivers are complaining? My niece drive for them.
Because they can lose their jobs if they don't meet the inhumanly high demand amazon puts on them. If your niece drives for them and doesn't complain good for her but not everyone is her. If you can't see a problem with people afraid to go to the bathroom for fear of losing their jobs there is no hope for you.
But most of them don't have time because they are on extremely strict quotas.
They need to add a porta potty in the trucks or Get More People Driving
I’m a former employee of Amazon and all of this about pissing in a bottle is true, but that’s not all of it. It’s so much worse than pissing in a bottle with over working their employees to watching over them like slave masters
Amazon is in direct violation of the golden rule. May their Karma find them and teach them one of those hard lessons.
That’s it! Guillotine Bezos!
Amazon doesn’t know how to remedy the problem without changing anything at all 🤔Thats a real thinker for an out of touch capitalist aint it?
Next to Wallmart? You do realise that Wallmart only exist in America, right? They may be big in the US, but…
@ZarlanTheGreen Amy Works didn't accuse you of deleting your comments. I did.
@ZarlanTheGreen I noticed that you deleted another of your comments.
@ZarlanTheGreen Dude, you're full of it. You made a dumb comment. Just admit it or delete the original comment. This is cringey. People from all over the world have both ALworld and Walmart.
@ZarlanTheGreen Shadowbanning is an instagram thing that blocks all of a users content, and Walmart locations are on their official website. Google 'Walmart locations globally' it will come up even if you mis-spell it like you do. 'Check wikipedia or worldatlas. The youtube comment section isn't an image sharing site; if I post a link, the comment gets removed.
@ZarlanTheGreen You're either lying or didn't actually look it up. You also deleted one of your comments in order to appear less stupid.
Oh god... It's like that argument "slavery was never real - no one would ever accept being a slave"... My brain hurts.
Just for fun, how does DeJoy treat his employees? We want to know? Does DeJoy want to do this to Post Office? Companies that burn out employees have no retirement obligations!
Dismantle and nationalize Amazon. They don't deserve to exist
I’m really really disappointed. America full of white privilege.
My friend delivers 300+ packages a day and then "rescues" others in same situation
I say just piss on the floor and say you gotta go you gotta go
The USPS does this to their mail carriers too... They harass them meanwhile knowing full well they dont have enough carriers.
I use to drive for a living . At the end of the day when your out on the road and need a pee you cant knock on someones door and some places its along way between restrooms. im in the uk the local council dustbin men were in the newspaper for doing the same thing , a member of the public complained, so now the worker go back to the depot to use the toilets . This includes the waggon driver, the other 2 operators and the waggon
Anna, stop using logic to fix problems! Sheeesh, you're going to blow people's minds how easy it is to fix some problems =P
Amazon: instead of accepting the limits of the human body we're going to attempt to force it to evolve into a machine. What could go wrong? Ebola: Hold my beer.
It should be noted that Amazon screws over truck drivers that even work for them too. They demand that you arrive at their facility at a certain time, then when you arrive, they make you wait for hours before they actually start loading your trailer, causing you to lose all the time you could be driving.
I never buy things from Amazon. The way they treat human beings is awful
I had similar issues working with FedEx. I was one person who had to do over 200 stops within a certain timeframe. They set me up in a large industrial/residential area and a lot of the time my truck was overloaded to the point I couldn't get to certain things that had to be delivered. THEN, my boss sold my contract to another contracted who added an entirely new area to my already large area of delivery and expected me to be able to do it within the same timeframe. At least with my previous boss he'd have guys who were done with their routes help me out, but the new boss couldn't be bothered.
Remember when tyt employees tried to unionize and chunk lost his shit
Breaking News !!!! Police Station Toilet is stolen,Police have nothing to go on !!!
So do many professional truck drivers, pee in bottle's. Stop crying boys!
You can time me pinchin a loaf all you want. It's gonna take however long it takes. 🤷♂️
Bus driver have had to do this as well they the driver don’t get a break the brake is for the bus not the driver
Why would you want to work there.
Well we're sorry you have to exist Amazon. Go f*** yourself.
Tyt talking about union busting..... They have no ground to stand on.
👍
Amazon doesn't need any more of my money. Bezos will have power the more you give it to him. Boycott the asshole. Let him starve.
This is America find another job if you don't like working there. Unions are outdated in modern times , negotiate when applying
more to the point they don't want unions they would prefer workers to work 19 years for minimum wage plus maybe 3 to 5 percent for medical. what do you mean unions are outdated how else will companies treat employees fairly. wene you get a job its either their terms or the highway and with unions we could change that.
Perhaps in shithole countries like Texas but in America unions created the middle class. Of course america hating conservatives hate unions.
Here we have one of the sickest of trolls. ^^^ One of the clowns who actually pays to troll harder.
Amazon doesn't care about it's employees. They are there to do a job as best as Amazon expects them to. The second they can be replaced by robots they will be.
Thumbs up and an additional comment to beat the algorithm. Thanks for the report! 👍 And thanks to all the no-life right wingers, spending all their free time in the comment section of left leaning news sources; you're helping the cause! And a special thanks to the gullible cowards that love to respond to this and run away like terrified children. Right wingers are so pathetic. 🤣😂🤣
Next you’ll see Amazon replace the driver seats with toilets
Just so y’all know our average package count is 350 and 200 stops that include apartments where we have to take the packages directly to their door, they don’t give us time for anything!!!
Yes I work for CVG 2 one in Kentucky Hebron I was trained on doing a cherry picker high in the air I did as a seasonal literally after I had a C-section I literally just had my baby I work there because obviously I needed money no one told me to work there but obviously you got to do what you Gotta do I had to pick 25 boxes in an hour that isn’t hard compared to your job but you have to go in the air and drive a cherry picker it’s really hard
amazon doesn't care there untouchable because money is power in america they know they have the lowest prices around. People say I will boycott them ya good luck with that. 🤔
I canceled my prime, haven’t looked back.
Maybe we should do the same and stand up for workers. If we did it would stop.
When pandemic ends if Amazon is not unionized we must boycott them.
@Nomeca Maybe.
We must boycot them no matter what
Will never use Amazon again. Ever.
I remember reading this story in the Guardian a couple of days ago and I couldnt believe when they said: "yeah, Covid and traffic makes it hard to find a restroom". Analysis/commentary here is spot on! Plus, not to be pedantic but at 6:47 you said Jeff Bezos was a trillionaire. He's not. No where close to that.
People can also help by placing orders requesting 4 to 5 days expected delivery dates
One way to ease the stress is go back to 4 to 5 days expected delivery dates.
Before these delusional senior managers mouth off they should be made to experience the reality of the exploited workers who pay for their inflated salaries
@Wayne Morgan you're right senior managers just sit at their desks and magically money appears
Workers don't pay anyones salary.
I've hated Amazon ever since I once ordered a CD which was never delivered despite their response to do so. Time to boycott Amazon wholesale. We, the consumers, make them multibillionaires -- and we can break them, too. Time to teach Jeff Bezos a hard lesson.
Louder with Crowder now has almost 300,000 more subscribers than tyt! :)
You mean the guy who just got suspended again, right? And has been permanently demonetized, that guy, right?
So? TYT is on TV and more that just YT. Crowder is suspended from YT and banned from partner.
Biden smoked trump by 7 million.
Truck drivers do this all the time. Same with UPS drivers. TYT acts like these are warehouse workers, forced to stay at their station and unable to take bathroom break
Whooosh!
Urinating in bottles is normal for trucking. Especially in rural routes, good luck finding washrooms.
This isnt a trucking job though, its a courier job.
Jeff Bezos: Our bad. Sure we welcome a union. Jeff Bezos: Hello Boston Dynamics? I need a million of your robots that can do human jobs. Later that day. Jeff Bezos: All Amazon employees you're all fired.
This wouldn’t be a problem if we had socialism
Lol you think Robots can do human jobs? Are you Yang Gang? I bet you've never had a real job if you believe that BS
Amazon employees should walk off the job en mass. Solidarity forever.
Should I also add that we get paid incredibly well and have great benefits too?
@Simon Pryor Yeah. He's an obvious shill.
$15 per hour IS POVERTY
@Mandolinic He's being paid to write this stuff. He knows he's a shill, lol.
No, you shouldn't add that. It makes you sound even more like a company shill.
I love you guys and have been a subscriber for YEARS but I work for Amazon and have worked for Amazon for almost 2 years and I hate to break it to you all but no one urinates in bottles or anything else, bathroom breaks are NOT timed, we can use the bathroom whenever we want and that doesn’t even include our breaks....20 minutes every 4 hours....also you need to get your facts straight about the drivers, we have drivers that are official and 100% DO NOT urinate in bottles and frankly that’s rediculous, we also have drivers that “work” for themselves in their own cars and they do get paid by the amount of packages they deliver per hour.....I love you guys and have been a huge fan for over a decade but we (Amazon) employees love our jobs....I work in one of the St. Louis hubs and we laugh about the crap the media lies about.
@Wayne Morgan and they are probably silent because they are scared of losing their jobs.
@Wayne Morgan actually, it’s from internal documentation and emails between managers who knew about it.
@Lady Laurus These allegations that they're being forced to piss in bottles and shit bags are also anecdotal. The overwhelming majority of drivers haven't lodged any such complaints.
I personally know people that work for Amazon and you are full of shit. Take your lies somewhere else corporate shill.
Amazon apologized for this and admitted it troll
I have straight up boycotted Amazon for 4 years now. Not inconvenient, especially when I think about those workers every time I get to sit on a toilet and do my business at a comfortable pace.
They not only admit but are proud that they run their "human assets" based on algorithms to get the maximum work out of a human before they break down.....it's their way of thinking that's the problem, the embodiment of extreme capitalism.
An apology without changed behavior is just manipulation.
I work in one of the facilities & their expectations of employees work ethic feels like working yourself to the ground. I go home everyday and wake up with a new bruise or a sore body part for excessive lifting. One time I got so over heated, I actually threw up at work & had to go home. I don’t understand why they took away our $2 raises for the pandemic.. when we are STILL in one! One top of that we will be going into 10hours shifts soon. Alot of employees are leaving because theyve force us to chose a insane shift time that conflicts with alot of people who have children. I think i might pass out one of these days. I shouldnt even be speaking on this bc im sure i remember agreeing to a NDA at one point doing the paperwork for employment 🤭
Dont worry about the NDA. It cant be used by the company unless you have gone public with top secret amazon stuff. If they try to use it against you, tell them go ahead and speak to a lawyer. Im sure there are many firms out there that would love to bring amazon to heel.
Post office had the peeing in bottles too.. so gross
@ashli sims Um ok. That's anecdotal evidence though. But again ok, thanks for sharing.......I think. Also not sure what your point is.
And yes they are unionized but when ppl wanna get home and don't feel like stopping cuz of bad weather, good weather don't feel like leaving there route its wat happens... not poop thank God but peeing in bottles.. YES
Imma postal worker who cleans up the freaking bottles.. and since that's my job, I spend a lot of the time picking up the bottles from tubs and out side trash cans.. and I've been in 4 different offices and been doing it since 2014
That's untrue.
Post office is unionized and have mandatory breaks. Please show your evidence?
Jebus Khrist, why isn't there a more progressive alternative to Amazon out there or on the horizon? I remember seven or eight years ago how some progressives were encouraging people to not use Amazon, and to find other sourcing options, like 'brick and mortar' businesses, other online sites, etc. Also, what happened to the Amazon workers vote to unionize? I was hearing so much talk about it in the progressive world over the past week or two, highly anticipating the vote count, ...now.... nothing; haven't heard a peep about it. How long does it take to do a vote and tally the results, particularly in one state?
We need to nationalize Amazon. We don’t need a middleman parasite getting rich off all of us, and dehumanizing wage-slaves.
Amazon's business model is typical in America. General Strike!
Well they aren't "making their workers pee in bottles". What we know is that there are a few reports by workers, specifically delivery drivers who claim that the quotas they are expected to meet are too unrealistic to achieve without foregoing breaks. Which means that they're alleging that they're strapped for time, specifically time to use the restroom and are instead having to piss in bottles and shit in bags. Which has also become an issue when the vehicles are returned and the human waste is left during handover by the driver. It's either the case that the quotas are too unrealistic or there is a small minority of personnel who are either inefficient and or just plain gross. It's notable that the camera tracking system set to be implemented in these delivery vehicles which TYT has rallied against would go a way to actually providing data that proves if Amazon management is unrealistic in its expectation of its personnel to meet the quotas they set.
@Wayne Morgan Yeeeaaaahhh. I'm not putting any faith in a massive multinational corporation to be "doing the right thin g". This just screams of micromanagement.
@Erica Rogers I thinks it's moreso the case that they're looking at the bevy of drivers that don't seem to have an issue or at the very least haven't reported it and asking is this a legitimate concern as it pertains to the quotas or are these few just so inefficient that keeping them isn't really worth their while when there's a burgeoning workforce out there especially thanks to covid.
Or they could just get more Draconian. "Ohhh, noticed you didn't have enough time to stop for a pee there, buddy and you had to pee in a bottle? Yeeeeeaaaahhhhh, that's going to make us look bad. You're fired. Oh, you want more realistic drop-off times? That sounds a lot like an attempt to unionize. SECURITY!!!"
I'd be a terrible Amazon employee, because NOBODY is going to tell me when I can or cannot stop for a bathroom break or take a lunch. I've had bosses that were nice people, but would give me way too many deliveries at times. However, they were constantly making sure that I was taking breaks. One of those employers were so cool that they told me to stop deliveries to come back to the office for lunch or to go get bubble tea with them... I usually met my quotas, but if there were days that I didn't, it was totally fine.
Amazon is literally greed incarnate. Abominationzon.
Solution is to put bathrooms on the cargo vans. If RVs can do it, cargo vans can too. Build the bathrooms to be swapped / re-processed quickly overnight at distribution centers.
It happens in the warehouse too. You and everyone who liked your comment didn't even watch the F'n video?
Yeah, that's a solution. Or, maybe allow enough time to go to the bathroom.
I think what you meant to say is _the solution is to democratize the workplace & plan our economy around surplus value of labor serving the people instead of exploiting people serving the rich by using them as a source of surplus value to be stolen_ but okay 🤔
That sounds absurdly expensive when you can just let drivers use public bathrooms
Amazon,Walmart and JP Morgan Chase are the worst corporations and they all have tracking system for bathroom breaks. Chase was only place I had to write everything thing I done for the day and it determined if I was productive enough at the end of day. Their standard bathroom breaks time were already included but media only focuses on retail and fast food hourly workers.
We can't do anything if we don't know about it. Thank you for sharing.
Amazon workers should organize a protest wherein they substitute customer products for bottles of pee.
So Amazon has massive dump problems too?
Postal carriers do the same thing and they're unionized.
@Pranay I'm not lying. Of course they have mandatory breaks - that's the law, it's not even up to the employer whether they're going to have breaks or not. But they still have goals they have to hit on their routes and often make choices like this to save time. If you want evidence, get a job in the postal service or ask your mail carrier if they or someone they know pisses in their truck.
@John Smithe He's lying
Post office is unionized and have mandatory breaks. Please show your evidence? You basement dwelling troll
@John Smithe So you're basically saying that Amazon workers in the exact same position they're in now would be fine if they just couldn't be fired.
@Makingnewnamesisdumb That was rather vague. A LOT of jobs have overbearing bosses. It depends entirely on the person. Why should a supervisor not sometimes meet the carriers en route? I don't understand your complaint there. The benefits are good. The pay is good. The security is good. Sorry if working conditions aren't perfect, but that's not what unions are for anyways. They're not meant to protect you from being bullied by bosses you don't like. That much of it is just life. Pissing in a bottle is a whole other category. That's nothing like just having to put up with a narcissistic boss. It's broad company policy that drives the behavior, henpecking and personality conflicts are not the issue.
